An elegant, timeless addition to your tabletop, the Blue Asiatic Pheasants Plate from Burleigh is perfect for serving your favorite appetizers. Made from durable earthenware, this piece is dishwasher and microwave safe—perfect for both daily use and special occasions.
Featuring elegant birds and beautiful florals, the Blue Asiatic Pheasants collection launched in 1862 and is one of Burleigh’s most iconic and versatile patterns. The classic pattern you see on each piece is the result of a traditional printing process in which patterns are hand-engraved onto copper-based cylinders and then spread onto Burleigh’s tableware.
Each piece of Burleigh pottery has been made in Burslem, England since 1889 using traditional techniques that have been passed down for 170 years. Each piece of Burleigh pottery runs through their rigorous quality checks, and if there are no faults, it goes to be decorated in Burleigh’s famous Transferring Printing Shop. Burleigh Pottery is now the last English pottery company that continues this traditional and highly skilled hand decorating process. This process was once widely used in the pottery industry, but Burleigh is now the last remaining potbank to use this highly skilled technique, making Burleigh pottery highly prized around the world.
